Wings Wildlife Park Tasmania is an animal sanctuary located close to Ulverstone, on Tasmania's North West Coast offering cabin accommodation at Gunn’s Plains. Wings Wildlife Park offers timber cabins, backpacker units, a caravan park, and campsites for independent travellers just looking to pitch their tent. The 6 self-contained cabins sleep 5 persons with linen included as well as towels and basic kitchen facilities. Ensuite cabins are also available. The backpacker units include a heater, kettle, refrigerator and small stove and have a water supply close by. You can also camp at powered or unpowered sites on the large grassed area beside the banks of the Leven River. There are 10 powered sites, an amenities block with laundry and disability access, self-contained cabins, ensuite cabins, backpacker accommodation, a campground, powered sites suitable for caravans, campervans, motorhomes, and an amenities block. Cabin guests can purchase discounted entry to the wildlife park for the duration of your stay. Walk through the grounds to see Australian native animals including Tasmanian devils, wombats, birds, lizards and snakes, camels, and American bison. The main camping area at Gunns Plains is a large, grassed, riverside area with some shade. Powered sites and a picnic shelter are available near the amenities, and camping is also available there. The amenities, including toilets, showers, disabled facilities, and a laundry block, are situated beyond the reception building. The majority of native animals at Wings Wildlife Park have been rescued following injury and are released into their natural habitat when rehabilitated. Those unable to be released remain in their care for the remainder of their lives.Wings Wildlife Park is a small, secluded country park just 20 minutes south of Ulverstone, situated in a lush green farming valley of Gunns Plains. Escape from city life to a wildlife park where you can view Australia's largest collection of Tasmanian fauna. The Wings WIldlife Park offers bunk rooms that sleep either 2 people or 4 people. Visitors have the option of bringing their own linen or for a little extra cost it can be provided. People staying in the bunk rooms have access to a shared kitchen with all the cooking facilities, common area with lounge chairs and ping-pong table, Toilet/shower block only a short distance away, and the animal farm walk.
