Derby is a small Australian town located in the northeast of Tasmania, best known as the home of the Blue Derby Mountain Bike Park. There are a total of 125 km of trails at this location that are called Blue Derby and where mountain bike enthusiasts from across Australia and the world come to ride these challenging tracks. The Derby RV Friendly (self-contained RVs) Camping area is a free campground located app. 500m from Derby. If you are fully self-contained, this free campsite is recommended as it provides a great spot for mountain bike riders who are riding Blue Derby. There are no amenities of any type at this location, so your rig must have shower, toilet and water. Camping in tents, cars or campervans etc,. is not permitted. The RV Parking area is a gravel area beside a creek. Campfires are OK, however be sure to check for any local fire restrictions.
