St Marys is an RV Friendly Town in North East Tasmania offering free overnight camping for fully self-contained vehicles at the St Mary’s Recreational Ground, in this small North East Tasmanian town. This great spot is a short drive (or walk) from central St Mary’s where you will find an excellent IGA Supermarket, a bakery, cafes, a hotel where you can get counter meals, buy petrol and other goods. The free overnight stop at St Mary’s has toilets, showers, water and a dump point. It is a reasonable size, flat area but with little shade or protection from the sun. The area shares a boundary with the St Mary’s Golf Course and is adjacent to the local recreational ground where AFL and cricket are played, and where harness racing is held occasionally. There is a donation box, which collects money to help with the upkeep of the facility – we strongly encourage you to make a donation when staying at the RV Friendly St Mary’s overnight stop. We highly recommend this overnight stop, in St Mary’s Tasmania.
