The Bicheno Golf Club RV Stop provides an affordable and peaceful overnight option for travellers exploring Tasmania’s East Coast. Located a short drive north of Bicheno, the stop is suitable for fully self-contained motorhomes, campervans and caravans.
Its convenient location beside the golf course makes it a useful base for visiting Bicheno, Freycinet National Park and the many beaches and attractions along the East Coast.
The RV stop is located at the Bicheno Golf Club on the Tasman Highway, approximately five kilometres north of central Bicheno. The RV parking area is positioned behind the clubhouse, providing a relatively quiet place to stay while remaining close to town.
The entrance is accessible from the Tasman Highway. Travellers should follow the signs for the golf club and continue to the designated RV area.
The RV Fly Stop has previously advertised rates of approximately $20 per night or $100 per week. As fees and payment arrangements may change, visitors should check the signs at the clubhouse when they arrive.
Payment may be available through a terminal in the clubhouse foyer or by using the cash payment envelopes provided. Guests may also be asked to enter their name and vehicle registration in the visitor logbook.
Bookings are not generally accepted. Sites are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Travellers visiting during summer, school holidays or long weekends may prefer to arrive earlier in the day, as Bicheno is one of the most popular destinations on Tasmania’s East Coast.
The Bicheno Golf Club RV Fly Stop is intended for travellers with fully self-contained vehicles. Facilities are limited, so visitors should arrive with their own toilet, washing facilities, drinking water and waste-storage systems.
There may be no dedicated toilets, showers, powered sites or water connections within the RV area. Visitors should check the current conditions before setting up.
A clearly published pet policy may not always be available. Travellers with dogs or other pets should contact Bicheno Golf Club before arriving.
Where pets are permitted, they should remain under control, be kept away from the golf course and clubhouse areas, and not disturb other guests or golfers.
One of the main benefits of staying at the Bicheno Golf Club is the opportunity to enjoy a round of golf during your visit.
The course has nine holes with alternative tees allowing it to be played as an 18-hole course. Visitors may be able to play throughout the week, with club and golf-cart hire available at selected times.

Travellers heading north can continue towards Scamander, St Helens and the Bay of Fires, while those travelling south can visit Swansea, Triabunna, Orford and Maria Island.
From central Bicheno, travel north along the Tasman Highway for approximately five kilometres. Turn into the signed entrance for Bicheno Golf Club and follow any signs or instructions directing RV travellers to the designated parking area behind the clubhouse.
Drivers of larger caravans and motorhomes should enter slowly and watch for golfers, pedestrians and other vehicles using the club grounds.
